Access is part of learning design.
MIELA aims to make professional learning usable across keyboard, screen-reader and responsive experiences, while continuing to improve as the platform grows.
Current practices
- Semantic landmarks and skip navigation.
- Visible keyboard focus states and keyboard-operable core navigation.
- Responsive layouts for narrow screens.
- Accessible names for interactive controls and status feedback where required.
- Automated accessibility checks in the deployment pipeline, supported by browser testing.
Known limitation
Automated checks do not prove that a site is fully accessible. Course interactions and newly added components still need ongoing human testing, including zoom, keyboard-only use and assistive-technology review.
Feedback
If something prevents you from accessing learning, report the page, browser or assistive technology involved so the issue can be investigated.
