Can You Trust the Output?
Learn to verify AI-generated claims, citations, summaries and recommendations without turning every interaction into a research project.
- Fluency can hide uncertainty — Separate confidence of presentation from confidence in the underlying claim.
- A citation is a claim about a source — Check whether the source exists and whether it supports the statement attached to it.
- Verify in proportion to consequence — Spend more verification effort where error would matter more.
- Check what the output leaves out — Look for systematic assumptions, stereotypes and missing perspectives, not only factual errors.
- Make verification a routine — Use a repeatable sequence so checking does not depend on memory or confidence.
